NO traveling to lessons, NO parking to find and pay, NO wasted time - I have been teaching online piano for many years, and have developed a method supported by materials that simply work, getting you to soon play your favorite songs well... My bio is here.

Here's some details and requirements about our online piano lessons:

Yes, you will learn how to READ NOTES, RHYTHM PATTERNS, and CHORDS - the basic building blocks of music! Don't be afraid, it's easier than you may think, and having these skills will free you to enjoy your learning process, motivate you to make rapid progress, and have fun exploring many possibilities - you, your family and your friends will be very impressed!
You will need a phone/tablet/laptop with working camera and microphone - I will send you a FaceTime link for our lesson. FaceTime for iOS, Android, Mac, or Windows works best for both video and audio (WhatsApp and Zoom tend to be laggy, with cracking sound, lost connection, etc.)
Please TEXT +1 (847) 877-0846 to schedule our lessons - see the bottom of this page for currently available lesson times. Most students take 30min. weekly lessons (US$35), some take 45min (US$52).
BEFORE OUR LESSONS: Please ensure a distraction- and noise-free environment for our lessons (kids, siblings, pets, TV/radio), and that your device is sufficiently charged. Please figure out a way for me to see your keyboard keys and hands (books at one end of the keyboard on which to safely rest your device works in most cases). Please use the bathroom before our lesson :)
Sheet music for new songs will be sent by email to print. These resources are available to current students only.
To keep a lesson time reserved for you, Monthly TUITION is required at the FIRST LESSON of each month, NO exceptions - payment by Zelle, AppleCash, or Venmo from your bank app, or PayPal for international students. Thank you!
There is a 10% sibling DISCOUNT.
Starter SHEET MUSIC is included in your tuition, and will be emailed to you. After our first couple of months, there may be a couple of recommended piano books for you to purchase.
If you are in the Chicago area, occasional IN-PERSON lessons are available and recommended, at your convenience. My home studio is located in suburban Park Ridge, by O'Hare airport, easily accessible from major highways and important roads.
Recommended for you: Yamaha 61-key keyboard; Yamaha 88-key digital piano. Please stay away from cheap keyboards - Yamaha and Casio are the best value, then Korg, Roland, and Kurzweil.
Recommended app for note reading: Notes! (note flash cards)
Lessons are taught in English.
